Main / Versions Versions01.05.2012. Design of new Schedro TM sauces. Backstage![]() Release Workflow
Photoshooting for the rest of Schedro TM sauces, started back in 2011, was produced by Praktika Agency. For the photographer Taras Dovgich not to get bored during the work, the following characters with serious faces were wandering around him: food stylist Sonya Gukailo alone with her assistant, the reps of the customer Anna Motina and Yelena Brodska, the rep from Praktika agency, the rep from our agency Anna Beshkenadze and a cat. A spacious studio in Kyiv downtown was located in an ancient house near Mikhailovsky Cathedral. The air outside was as cold as – 17 °Ñ, so we didn’t go outside a lot. Everyone preferred to stay in. Scottish fold with straight ears, who was a bonus to the rented studio, was disquiet. ![]() That, actually, was for a reason. Because all the necessary for the shooting sorts of meat were finally found (it’s still the capital of Ukraine). However, we failed to find any lamb. Poor cat. ![]() At some stages, one has to use a spoon, but most of stages imply forceps usage. Even though the composition looks careless and sloppy, position of each element is strictly specified by food stylist. ![]() By the way, if you are about to shoot meat, it’s not necessary to fry it for real. A heat gun would be just fine, which is very convenient, because the process of frying the areas of meat loaf is easy to control. Some parts need more, some need less. With the help of an unusual pallet of spices and natural colours, food-stylist produces the final look. The result was extremely tasty. We realized, that it was raw meat, but we wanted it so much. ![]() Face expressions would be more suitable for a spaceship launch, but looks like new type of sauce launch is of no less importance. ![]() Some designers find drawing easier than telling. But some can tell everyone around and show how good the final design will be during two days. ![]() Not an everyday thing: the customer is not only present at the photoshoot, but also thinks of how to make the picture perfect. Most customers don’t go further than the phrase “I pay you to think instead of me”. ![]() Unlike the designer, food stylist assistant worked in silence. He not only prepared spare parts for photocompositions, but also treated everyone around with soup, salad and whatever cooked from the “unnecessary” foods. That was tasty. ![]() ![]() Sometimes, when it falls and doesn’t erect, clyster can be of help ![]() ![]() In order not to move around the composition elements all the time, they can be temporarily put to background. They’re not visible there Before the era of digital cameras, the customer, should he be present at the photoshoot, would be made to look into viewfinder of film camera. That’s where he would see the turned image and he would train his imagination thinking how it would look in the final design. ![]() In those old times, the customer would wait for the film to be developed and scanned. Unexpected things could happen alone the way: none of the shots would be suitable for further work. During the photoshoot of Schedro TM sauces, intermediate frames would be assembled with package design. The customer could see how the snapshot correlates with other elements of package design without training his imagination. ![]() ![]() The right meat needs the right Adjika ![]() «Undyed» (unpainted) varenyky ![]() Of course, cat survived. In the second day of photoshoot he got used to all these people, breaking into his apartment. He is very forgiving and not really mad at anyone. He was proud enough to refuse charity rear ribs.
